Finn Juhl (1912-1989) armchair, model NV-48. Originally manufactured by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder. Stamped underside, "Cabinetmaker Niels Vodde_ / Copenhagen Denmark / Design Finn Juhl". Finn Juhl was originally trained as an architect then began designing furniture. The 48 chair was introduced in 1948. The organically shaped seat and backrest are raised from the carrying frame, visually lifting the seated person, making it appear as if the law of gravity has been defeated. It was originally offered in multiple different woods and either leather or textile upholstery. Dimensions: 31"h x 27"w x 20-1/2"d This item is too large to fit in one of our available boxes.
