Al and Mae Capone's decorative Louis XVI style arm chair with encircling pierced crest and arms, descending to scrolling hand rests. The seat back tufted with a single loose cushion, the front legs cabriole style; red and white toile fabric, the original fabric was chartreuse silk, the wood originally gilded now stained. Early 20th c.  Dimensions: 33"h x 34.25"w x 26"d Provenance: Al and Mae Capone (Palm Island home) to Sonny Capone to his daughters. Described by Diane Capone as "Mama Mae's chair" and noted visitors to the home who may have used the chair included Jimmy Durante, Mae West and Lucky Luciano.
