American Victorian Crane Form Pedestal, attributed to Herter Brothers
Condition:
Conserved to museum standards by Mark Adams. It has a small (approx. 1”l) area of veneer lifting on top as well as small areas of veneer loss, mainly on left side of top. There are scattered areas of wear to gilt (not many) and a loss of the tip of the feathers on the right as well as possible loss of tip of leaf at base on left. One side of inlay on the base has some scuffing.
