Martin Chirino (b. 1925) forged iron sculpture, "Herramienta Poetica". Bears Galeria Juana Mordo, Madrid label on underside. Receipt (July 1968) from Galeria Juan Mordo included. No signature apparent. Dimensions: 5"h x 12" x 10". Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $100.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.  Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1925. In 1952, he completed his studies at the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid. After travelling through several European countries including Italy and Great Britain, he helped establish the El Paso group with other artists of the period such as Antonio Saura. In 1960 his "spirals" were exhibited at the MOMA in New York.
