It is percussion cap, and is not made for a powder charge at all. It is extremely well marked along its top, “Remingtons Ilion NY Patent Oct. 1, 1861.” It has handsome scroll engraving on both sides of the action. Dimensions: 4 inches long overall, with a 3 inch barrel. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

The pistol is in good condition, but does not hold on cock. There is some pitting on both sides of the frame. The grips are excellent.
