Remington Rolling Block No. 1 Target Rifle

A beautiful Remington target rifle, with massive target barrel and Creedmore sights, in superb condition. The gun has an elegant simplicity to it, with outstand craftsmanship. It has a straight stock with no checkering, and simple iron mounts. The Creedmore sight on the tang has a gutta percha disc, and is marked L. Shaver. Serial number: 7574 with .44 sharps caliber. There is a peep sight at the muzzle. The barrel and action are clearly marked, with the latest patent date being 1872. Dimensions: 49.5 inches long overall, with the barrel being 34 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

Excellent condition overall. There are several small scratches on the barrel by the breech, but the gun retains almost all of its original blue, and traces of case hardening on the action. The stock has a beautiful straight grain. There is an empty screw hole at the end of the trigger guard tang. There are traces of very minor rust on top of the finish in a very few places. The bore is clean, with very strong rifling.
