US Model 1842 I.N. Johnson Percussion Pistol

A Very fine example of this trarer pistol, made originally in percussion. The wood is excellent, and the metal is uniformly dark, with very clear stamps, The barrel is stamped US over S.K. over P. There are no visible cartouches on the stock, but there is a cross carved into the sideplate area. Dimensions: 14.5 inches long overall, with the barrel being 8.5 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

Condition:

Overall very good, with excellent wood, and brass. There is some minor rust on the lock and the vent. The lock functions crisply and perfectly. There is some minor pitting st the breech.
