Georgian Miniature Bracket Clock by Watson & Son
Georgian Miniature Bracket Clock done in mahogany wood with a pagoda style top and dentil moulded base standing on four padded feet. Silver colored dial features Roman numerals and original blue steel hands. Face signed "Watson & Son, Cambridge." The clock runs on an eight day Fusee movement with anchor escapement and a pendulum hold fast, made in 1830. Watchmaker Joseph Watson worked in Market Hill Cambridge from 1830-1840 and was also a jeweler and silversmith. Clock comes with winding key and movement still runs.
Stands 10 1/2" high and has a base measuring 6 3/4" x 4 3/4".
