German 3rd Reich TENO Dagger Hewer & Sheath by Eickhorn

A scarce and extremely nice German TENO dagger by Karl Eickhorn, with sheath, in extremely nice shape. This is a dagger of the Technische Nothilfe organization, which was a group organized immediately after World War I to serve in breaking communist strikes, and continued on through World War II as an organization offering emergency civil defense technical aid to German society and industry. This is an enlisted man’s dagger of the hewer style, with matching serial numbers. It has white plastic grips, a steel scabbard with painted body, and is extremely well- marked, including matching serial numbers on the blade and the sheath, and a large, clear, Eickhorn mark on the ricasso, along with the TENO eagle and Ges. Gesch. Dimensions: 9.5 inch blade, and 15.75 inches long overall. Processing and shipping with in the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

Condition:

The blade has been cleaned, and has a bright finish, as opposed to the matte finish it was issued with. The sheath may be repainted, and is bubbled under the paint.. There is mild speckling on the chromed mounts. Other wise 15.75 inches long overall. Despite the mild refinishing, the dagger is in remarkable condition.
